Galena River Trail

The Galena River Trail is 4.5 mile long, flat, hard-packed hiking and biking trail along an abandoned railroad bed. It follows the meandering Galena River south from town to the Mississippi River backwaters and continues north to Galena Recreation Park. At the Meeker Street walk bridge there is a new 1.5 trail extension to the JDCF Buehler Preserve. At the main trail head parking lot, immediately to the west is the Depot Park boat launch on the Galena River.
